We have all been affected by violence at some point in our lives. We have seen violence over the Internet, on television or on the street, or we may have felt violent ourselves sometimes. This book explores the causes and the effects of violence, it recommends how to manage violent behavior and advises how to prevent our own violent feelings. It may be read by a young person alone or with the help of an adult.
The story told by the drawings is discussed in greater depth from a personal and a social perspective in the text. An illustrated appendix is included, which explains why some people are treated unfairly because of the color of their skin, their culture or their religion, in order to overcome racism.
